  2. some really awesome finds, thanks for sharing!! I esp love the ones that have a cause behind them, like the crochet necklace (that I might wear as a headpiece) and the last bracelet. and then of course all the awesome upcycled things are great as well! i have one question w/ the steve madden bag - is it ethically made? I've heard a lot of vegan things are still badly made.

    1. Hiya Dus! Thanks so much for your great feedback :D

I especially appreciate your question about the Steve Madden bag! I wrote this post almost a year ago and since then I have learned SO much about different ways in which an item can be considered ethical. I originally chose this bag as it was available from a cruelty-free boutique that I love and it's 'ethic' was being vegan. However, you're completely right - vegan does NOT equal environmentally or socially ethical production.

Here are some interesting articles on the Steve Madden brand:
      >> http://businessethicscases.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/steve-madden-ltd-copycat-2009.html

I'd be wary of featuring them again in the future unless their production methods and supply chain became more transparent and responsible.

      Best Wishes,
